At Numaura, Inc. ("Numaura", "we", "us", or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Numaura, Inc. is the data controller of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our numerology services. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

  • Full birth name, current name, and preferred name.
  • Birth date and, for minors, a parent or guardian email and consent.
  • Email and password for account creation, or OAuth data if you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook.
  • Family member information you choose to add to a family plan.
  • Payment details processed by Stripe; we store only a Stripe session identifier.

Usage Information

  • Device information, IP address, browser type, and pages or features you use.
  • Error messages and user agent details.
  • Cookies set by our analytics provider PostHog (_posthog) unless you opt out.

How We Use Your Information

  • Generate numerology reports using proprietary AI models hosted by OpenAI.
  • Process payments securely through Stripe.
  • Send transactional emails via Postmark.
  • Understand service usage with PostHog analytics.
  • Provide customer support, manage your account, and comply with legal obligations.

Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that support our operations:

  • Supabase for hosting and database services.
  • Stripe for payment processing.
  • OpenAI to generate report content.
    • Note: Data sent to OpenAI via our API integration is exempt from being used to train OpenAI's models.
  • PostHog for analytics; IP addresses are not anonymized by default.
  • Postmark for transactional email delivery.
  • When required by law or to protect our rights.

Family Feature

When you create or join a Family within Numaura, certain personal information is shared with other members of that Family to enable the intended functionality of the feature. Specifically, your full name, date of birth, and email address will be visible to other Family members who have accepted an invitation to join. By creating or joining a Family, you consent to this information being shared within the Family group.

Users are responsible for inviting only trusted individuals to their Family. Numaura is not responsible for how other Family members may use the information shared within a Family. Your information will not be visible to anyone outside your Family. You may leave a Family at any time, after which your information will no longer be accessible to its members.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS/TLS, Supabase’s encryption-at-rest, and row-level security policies. Passwords are hashed, and secrets are stored in environment variables. Despite these safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Rights & Regional Disclosures (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to and a copy of your personal data in a portable format.
  • Request correction or deletion of your account, reports, and personal information.
  • Withdraw consent or object to our processing of your data.
  • Opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
    • Note: Numaura does not sell your personal information.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request, or opt out of analytics, please email legal@numaura.co. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Cookies and Tracking

We use first-party cookies for PostHog analytics. When you first visit Numaura, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You may accept or decline tracking cookies at any time. Your preference is saved to your account when signed in. Disabling cookies may affect some features. We do not use session replay.

Children's Privacy

Our service is strictly prohibited for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 without parental or legal guardian consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13 without parental or legal guardian consent, please contact us immediately for deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
